Crazed Imagination blush - Rocky Horror Picture Show collection by MAC

Tis the season to be rocky! Rocky horror is the perfect film to watch during these cold, upcoming winter nights (or any time of the year, it's that good). The not-so-scary horror film is a cult classic, and after this collection by MAC I'm sure it will bring even more cult-inpso to the makeup community!

The collection included many different kinds of products, such as a loose setting powder, four lipsticks, three glitters, one blush, eye shadows, a sculpt and highlight duo and nailpolish (did I miss anything?). I was only interested in the blush, though. It was a limited edition colour and not my typical rosy-pink shade!
The blush is called Crazed Imagination and has a frost finish, meaning that it glows on your skin with an almost wet ice look. Shade wise it's a beautiful muted purple to brown colour with a touch of cranberry and purple speckles of frost through out. On the skin it looks very shiny and works well for both light and dark skin tones, but probably better on the latter!

Just like ice, this product is very hard. I tried to swatch it for a photo, and it just would not budge! When I used my 168 blush brush from MAC however, I did see some more pigment on the brush than what previously could be seen on my fingers. If you want this blush to show up on your skin, you'll have to apply at least two layers. In the photos of me above, I have two layers of Crazed Imagination on my cheeks and it's still almost invisible! What mostly shows up in the photos is my bronzer... The lasting power is not the best. I had to reapply after only 4 hours!

Maybe it needs some more work to make it... work. A blush should not create a hassle like this. I will keep trying to make it great on me, though. After all, it is a rocky horror makeup item and the colour in the pan is so beautiful and unique!

Have you tried any products from the Rocky Horror collection by MAC?

Would you rather - beauty blogger tag

I decided to do a tag...

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?
I would hate to lose the few lipsticks that I actually enjoy, but losing my Lolita palette by Marc Jacobs would hurt one hundres times more! I can replace my mascaras and eyeliners and all the other things in a heartbeat, but my palettes are holy to me.
2. Would you rather chop all of your hair off or never be able to cut it again?
Chop it all off! Am looking for a new hair do anyway, although it would be very cold now coming winter... Also I don't look too swell in hats... But my decision is made. Chop, chop!
3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
PINK. Pink looks the best with my fair skin and I happen to exclusively own pink blushes so...
4. If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Right now I would say clothes. I'm in desperate need of new textiles!
5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Eyeliner as lipstick seems like the reasonable thing. Lipstick would slip and slide all over my lids!
6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Sephora! They have more brands and I am not too keen on mac. I would be extra happy if the Sephora had the US-range of brands and products.
7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
One lip colour for the rest of my life. I hardly ever wear it anyways and if I do it's always something wine red. Eyeshadow is far too important to me!
8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Summer clothes are always ugly with no sense of style. I would choose winter clothes!
9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Is red a dark or a bright shade? I would go for red.
10. Would you rather give up your favourite lip colour or favourite eye product?
Pfft, lip colour any day! I need my eye products.
11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or messy bun?
A sleek ponytail works for every occasion!
12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
I don't care about either, but I don't like nail polish so I guess I'm stuck with lipgloss!
13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
I would rather shave them. They are pretty much invisible anyway!
14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Silly question. Nail polish and makeup can't compare! Makeup is the winner, hands down.

Laundry

Some days you feel like you have nothing to wear. Those days are horrible. Other days you feel completely ace, rocking one of your fantastic outfits (which you know everyone wished they wore, too). These moods depend almost one hundred percent on whether you have done your laundry or not. I personally have one week and sometimes a few days extra until my wardrobe only consist of child sized sweaters and odd socks, after that my wardrobe is in desperate need of a wash. Maybe the problem also lies in the fact that I wear black clothes six days a week...

The day I get back my clean laundry is a good day. Finally I can go outside again! Although there are always departments of your wardrobe which are lacking, and no amount of clean laundry can fix those problems. Make sure you onlyown clothes that you wear often and that covers are your textile needs. I need to do some serious shopping because I have zero autumn wardrobe- pieces. For now however, this fresh batch of clean laundry will do the trick!

I wear trousers every single day. When I was 12 to 15 I only wore jeans. Blue jeans to be exact. After that I got so sick of trousers that I only wore dresses for two years. Then I became a black easy-jean convert and slowly started to wear other trousers after a year. Now I have been wearing trousers for two years and I feel like I want to wear something else. Not dresses with flowers all over, nothing too "girly" - if you may. Just clothes that covers my butt without being jeans. My saviour? I have started to wear large tops and leggings a lot in the past month. For example a large, white collarless shirt (v stylish, not 80's in the least) or a black poncho. Both of these garments gives me an effortless chic look whilst being comfortable. No matter how soft a pair of jeans are, they can't beat leggings.

I still wear jeans, though. In my last post I talked about two pairs I have been enjoying very much! With them I like to pair a white t-shirt, grey baseball shirt or a black turtle neck. Sometimes I wear a white shirt and some other t-shirts. But I don't really like them, I need some new laundry to wash...
